PATRIOT STANDS WITH IVERMECTIN ADVOCATES
The current surge in Covid-19 infection to above 6 thousand cases and deaths around 100 cases a day is a major concern. This, plus our hospitals reaching maximum capacity has led our government to impose a two-week stringent lockdown and an extension hoping to bring down the infection curve. There seems to be no end and Malaysians are grudgingly accepting a perpetual hardship.
Since the pandemic, the highest daily new cases were 9,020, reported on 29 May. In the following week from May 30 to June 5, the daily new cases had flattened to between 7 to 8 thousand. The reduction was because people sampled for testing was reduced by 60,000 in that week where 7.28% were tested positive. That amounted to 4,368 cases not accounted for. Contrary to perception, the curve had risen.
In addition to the fast rising infective and death rates, there are new scientific information that cropped up in fast succession and added to the consternation. Examples of these new scientific information are:
1. Vaccine escape and immune escape as propagated by prominent scientists.
2. Emergence of new variants of concern and some have ability to escape the vaccine.
3. Antibody-dependent enhancement.
4. Activation of prion diseases and neurodegeneration.
5. Spike protein gene integration with human DNA.
The above scientific concerns have not factored in harm associated with the vaccination programme.
A recent report regarding pathogenic priming where multisystem inflammation, especially of the cardiovascular system where not only the aged, but younger people are affected. The US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will be conducting an emergency meeting to address this issue in those who have been vaccinated with the mRNA vaccines. An Israeli study has also found likely link between the vaccine and cases of heart inflammation in young adults.
In Singapore, on June 5, a news (not mainstream) report mentioned that there have been 2,000 cases of ‘severe adverse reactions’ after the first dose of the mRNA vaccine, and for them its health ministry has advised discontinuance with the mRNA vaccine. Unlike advanced countries that have transparent reporting systems, ours is opaque, thus, driving people to cyberspace and social media as information sources.
For a myriad of reasons people are losing faith on our government’s capability to overcome the Covid-19 epidemic. The main reason being lack of transparency and sincerity. To this end Patriot fully agrees with the Prince of Negri Sembilan, Tunku Zain Al-Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, when he said on June 12 that it was vital to have transparency and accountability for people to have faith in the institutions to help get us out of the epidemic.
A case in point is ivermectin, a WHO-listed essential drug against parasites, which is also one of the safest drugs. Local and foreign scientists and medical experts have consistently pointed out, citing published studies, that the evidence for use of ivermectin as prophylaxis and treatment against Covid-19 is highly convincing.
In a Covid health emergency where people continue to die in large numbers, there is no need to reinvent the wheel by repeating a long-drawn clinical trial. Furthermore, real population studies and experience in several countries have shown that the infective rate of coronavirus reduced drastically when ivermectin was mass distributed.
Our country urgently needs ivermectin now. It is a very safe drug and shown to be effective.
Somehow, our MoH officials relied on the WHO’s advisory that the finding of ivermectin is not conclusive, ignorant of the fact that officials from WHO had dishonestly altered the conclusion of a study it sponsored. In the study, ‘Meta-analysis of randomised trials of ivermectin to treat SARS-CoV-2 infection’, Dr Andrew Hill and his team of international researchers had found efficacies in symptoms reduction, viral load clearance, and death reduction. Despite that, an additional paragraph in the paper’s conclusion (not by the authors) stated the study was not conclusive and needed more study.
In plain language, the WHO had cheated. The conclusion conflicted with the results and discussion portions of the written paper.
Our local health professionals, many among whom are highly qualified professors, researchers, medical doctors, pharmacists, and allied health practitioners; have persistently advocated the use of ivermectin together with vaccines as a strategy to conquer the epidemic. Anything less than full respect accorded to their differing opinion, or labeling them as conspiracy theorist, promoter of fake news, and snake oil peddler; is considered insolent.
Patriot stands tall with this group of health professionals.
