Patriot wishes to draw the authority’s attention to a recent Merdeka-themed video that has gone brutally viral on social media. This is absolutely unjustified and goes against every grain of the Merdeka spirit.
 
“It is not only unjustifiable why such a storyboard was created by a Muslim NGO that produced the Merdeka-themed video but immediate and strict action must also be taken by the relevant ministry”, says Brigadier General Dato’ Mohd Arshad (Rtd), the President of Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan Malaysia.
 
“The video of disrepute features how low one can go to stereotype Malaysians of different ethnicity and the script is punctuated with racial slurs.
 
“While Patriot remains very committed in championing patriotism and national harmony, such racist Merdeka videos destroy the past decades of achievements by the government and the Heads of States in building integrated communities of Malaysians.
 
“As we are made to understand the viral video has since been removed by the Muslim organization that produced it. But the fact is it has already gone widely viral.
 
“Patriot demands an explanation from the relevant authorities on what serious action will be taken on the producer of the damaging video to deter anyone from doing similar damage to a fragile social landscape that has been capitalized by unsavory politicians too in the past.
