Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan – NGO, Apolitical & Non Confrontational
Never before has Malaysia been so humiliated in the eyes of the world. Our beloved country has been terribly tainted. In the last couple of decades, Malaysia has been brought under international radar for the wrong reasons.
For many years now, our beloved country has been immersed and degraded by the ugly monster called CORRUPTION. It has been brought to light and mentioned so often over the last few decades, condemned openly, talked about, argued about, discussed in Institutions and the various legal actions that had been taken against those deemed to be corrupt, charged in the Courts of Law, convicted, sentenced, and sent to jail. One would have thought that these convictions and punishments handed out by the Courts of Law of the country would have sent shivers down the spines of many and would have served as a strong deterrent to those who might be tempted to take the same road in enriching themselves.
But no, this was not to be as more and more exposures have been made public as time went on. Up until today, many more cases have surfaced. There seems to be no end to the attacks from this virus called Corruption. It had seeped into almost every fibre of the Malaysian society and administration. No sector is spared. Politicians are involved, the government is involved, the administrators are involved, the Ministries are involved, the Military is involved, the Police is involved, the government agencies are involved, the GLCs are involved, and the enforcement agencies are involved. The list can go on and on, and still there is no end.
Malaysians travelling overseas are now shy to say that they are Malaysians when asked by foreigners.
Are we really a nation of corrupted people? Do we have no shame at all? Are we ever able to hold our heads up high again? Why must the majority of ordinary Malaysians suffer in shame for the wrongdoings of a few? Are there no good Malaysians anymore? I cannot and will not believe that we can trust any one anymore.
Corruption is the root cause of the dilemma the country is in today. Greed is the moral weakness of humans. So, what are we going to do about it? If we have any decency left in us, we must stand up and not allow this rot to continue to contaminate our lives. We have to speak up and make our voices heard.
We must continue to fight Corruption
We must put fear into corrupt practices, and
The corrupted must be confronted to stop the ROT.
